Keith Treacy released from Burnley

6 May 2014

Winger Keith Treacy is one of four Burnley players who have been told they will not be offered contracts with the Premier League newcomers.

Treacy, defender David Edgar, midfielder Brian Stock and goalkeeper Nick Liversedge are all free to find new clubs this summer when their present deals at Turf Moor expire.

Boss Sean Dyche is planning to build a squad for their top flight campaign next term and will need to add numbers to a small group as it is.

However, Treacy, 25, will not be part of that squad after making 75 appearances and scoring five times at Turf Moor. Stock, 32, joined the Clarets in 2012 along with Treacy but made just 13 appearances in this campaign.

Canada international Edgar had been with Burnley since 2009 and made over 100 appearances for the club, the final one coming in the pivotal 1-0 Good Friday win at Blackpool last month.

Goalkeeper Liversedge did not make a first-team appearance under Dyche with Tom Heaton and Alex Cisak ahead of him in the pecking order.
