Wigan Athletic secured the Final Third Development League West Division and Cup double to mark the end of the development season.
Playing in the Cup Final against Mansfield Town, from the East Division, the Latics claimed their second trophy of the campaign with a comprehensive 7-1 thrashing of their opponents.
Ryan Jennings put Wigan ahead after 16 minutes at Robin Park Arena, however Mansfield's quick response three minutes later through Dan Fletcher restored parity after the striker's header sneaked in from a tight angle.
The tie stayed level until 10 minutes before the break, when Guillermo Andres forced Peter Atherton's side back in front following a good save from his initial shot.
With just one goal separating the teams, the Final was tightly poised until Danny Redmond converted a Wigan penalty to give them a 3-1 advantage, and from that point the hosts never looked back, making their greater experience count.
Another from Jennings, added to by a Joey Johnson effort and a late brace from substitute Tim Chow made certain of a Wigan victory after a second half in which they registered 20 attempts and enjoyed spells of continued pressure.
The 7-1 scoreline was a touch harsh on a brave and courageous showing from the young Mansfield team, who can be proud of their season's efforts, finishing second behind Hull City in the East Division in addition to runners-up in the Cup.
Elsewhere, the West Division drew to a close with a 3-2 victory for Tranmere Rovers over Oldham Athletic, pushing Tranmere up into seventh, just behind the sixth-placed Latics.
Shrewsbury dropped to the bottom after a 1-0 defeat at home to Morecambe - a result that secured fifth place in the standings for the Shrimpers.
