Doncaster have offered new contracts to eight players but experienced defenders Gabriel Tamas and Abdoulaye Meite and striker Billy Paynter have left the club.
Those offered new deals following Rovers' relegation from the Sky Bet Championship are James Coppinger, Ross Turnbull, David Cotterill, Paul Keegan, Alex Peterson, Harry Middleton, Jon Maxted and Liam Wakefield, and they are considering the fresh terms.
Tamas and Meite arrived at the Keepmoat Stadium on short-term contracts in January and have been allowed to move on.
Paynter, who ended the season on loan at Sheffield United, has been released along with youngsters Jordan Binns, Evan Finnegan, Josh Meade and Chris Whincop.
However, young quartet Ben Askins, Lewis Ferguson, Mitchell Lund and Billy Whitehouse have all been offered their first professional contracts.
