Wycombe defender Gary Doherty has signed a one-year extension to his contract, the club have confirmed.
The 34-year-old Irishman arrived at Adams Park in 2012, initially on loan before agreeing a two-year deal, and has gone on to become an integral part of the Chairboys' back four.
Despite a broken arm bringing a premature end to the former Tottenham centre-back's season in February, boss Gareth Ainsworth has moved to secure his services for a further year.
"Everyone knows what Doc is about and he brings so much to the club, not just on the pitch but his character and his experience in the dressing room," Ainsworth told the club's official website.
"He hit a really good run of form before his injury and we missed him after that. He has got plenty more to offer so I'm really pleased he's agreed to stay because he's an important player for us."
