Carlisle United have been relegated from Sky Bet League 1 after a 3-0 loss at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Cumbrians were three points adrift of safety going into their match at Molineux so knew they needed a positive result to have any hope of survival.
They slipped to a defeat, though, with Sam Ricketts, Michael Jacobs and Nouha Dicko on the scoresheet for Kenny Jackett's men.
Carlisle will now return to Sky Bet League 2 - a division they last played in during 2005/06 when they won it after notching up 86 points from 46 matches.
