Brighton and Hove Albion have made their first signing of the summer by landing midfielder Nzuzi Toko on a free transfer from Grasshopper Zurich.
The 23-year-old midfielder's contract with the Swiss Super League runners-up expires at the end of June meaning he was free to discuss a move to Albion from January, when Oscar Garcia was still in charge.
Toko has completed a medical and will link up with the Seagulls when they report for pre-season training at the end of June.
Albion chairman Tony Bloom told the club website: "We concluded a deal to sign Toko before their season and ours had ended.
"Now that Toko has completed the season with Grasshopper Zurich we are delighted to welcome him to Brighton & Hove Albion."
Brighton are still looking for a new manager following Garcia's departure at the end of the season.
