The taste of victory remains sweet

3 March 2014

As millions of Brits prepare to get flipping for Pancake Day tomorrow, Manchester City supporters can keep their latest success fresh thanks to a bespoke Capital One Cup Trophy shaped pancake cutter.
Yesterday, Manchester City beat Sunderland 3-1 at Wembley Stadium to win the Capital One Cup, winning the League Cup trophy for the first time since 1976.
And to keep the celebrations alive on Pancake Day, credit card company Capital One has created a unique ‘cookie cutter’ in the shape of the iconic Capital One Cup Trophy. After cooking their pancakes, a limited number of lucky fans will be able to create a special Capital One Cup trophy shape by using their cutters to press out the shape of the trophy lifted by club captain Vincent Kompany yesterday.
Jaidev Janardana, Chief Marketing Officer at Capital One, said: “With Manchester City fans in jubilant mood after their Capital One Cup victory yesterday, we wanted to help them keep the celebrations going. With our special Capital One Cup Trophy Pancake Cutter the taste of success will last through Pancake Day - what could be batter than that?”
