Stevenage midfielder Dean Parrett could miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
Parrett was carried off on a stretcher during the second half of Saturday's 3-2 defeat by MK Dons.
The news is another blow to Boro's survival hopes coming just a week after Roarie Deacon was told he needs ankle surgery.
Manager Graham Westley told the club website: "Both Dean and Roarie I think are probably doubts to play again this season.
"They're two young players who have developed well, they've started to show some form, both earning their way into the side and when you've got young players who are developing and starting to mature, starting to grow, the last thing you want really is to lose them.
"But it is what it is. It looks like we've lost them for the season so we'll have to plan to play without them now."
