Nottingham Forest have signed versatile Leeds United defender Lee Peltier on loan for the remainder of the season.
Peltier, largely a right-back but comfortable playing anywhere along the back line, is expected to go straight into the Forest squad for their Sky Bet Championship game against Charlton at the City Ground on Tuesday night.
The 27-year-old has made 27 appearances this season for Leeds but has recently found first-team opportunities limited.
"We had an offer for Lee to go to Forest on loan," Leeds manager Brian McDermott told his club's official website.
"He felt he wanted to go because he isn't in the team at this moment in time, and we've agreed to let him go."
Peltier's arrival could be a hint that Neil Warnock is set to be named as the new manager at Forest.
Warnock is the frontrunner to replace Billy Davies at the City Ground after the Scot was sacked on Monday and the former Notts County boss has been in discussions with Reds owner and chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi.
Warnock signed Peltier from Leicester during his spell in charge of Leeds and made him club captain last season.
