Burton Albion have signed goalkeeper Freddy Hall on a short-term contract until the end of the season.
Hall, who has played for Albion's Sky Bet League 2 rivals Northampton Town, has been training with Gary Rowett's squad for the past week.
The 29-year-old Bermuda international's most recent club was Major League Soccer side Toronto FC.
"Freddy has been training with us and he has a good pedigree," Burton boss Rowett told the club's official website.
"With Rob Lainton only on loan we need to make sure we have adequate cover in the goalkeeping position.
"It will give us a chance to look at him more long-term. He has played at a good level with Toronto FC and this is a chance for him to make a career in England."
