Preston North End have signed versatile defender Calum Woods.
Woods will join the Lilywhites on a free transfer on July 1 when his contract at Huddersfield expires.
The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Simon Grayson's side and the Preston boss is looking forward to working with Woods again having had him during his time with the Terriers.
``I worked with Calum at Huddersfield and he is a real good lad,`` said Grayson.
"He is a versatile player and can play in either full back positions, centre-back and even in midfield if asked to do, so when I saw that he was available, I just felt he was a good acquisition to have in the squad."
Woods, who came through Liverpool's academy, moved to Scotland with Dunfermline following a successful trial before signing for Huddersfield on a free transfer in 2011.
During his three years in West Yorkshire, he made 81 appearances for the Terriers.
