Charlton Athletic striker Reza Ghoochannejhad has become the club's first player to score at the World Cup finals.

The 26-year-old scored Iran's only goal in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bosnia and Herzegovina which saw them eliminated from the tournament in Brazil.

Ghoochannejhad has become only the fourth player to represent the Championship club at a World Cup finals and he struck the consolation goal with eight minutes remaining in the Group F game yesterday.
