Norwich City unveil new coaching team

2 June 2014

Joe Royle has been unveiled as Norwich City's new football consultant with former midfielder Gary Holt and Mark Robson being appointed as first-team coaches.

A club statement explained how Royle, who managed Canaries boss Neil Adams for five years at Oldham, will 'support and advise Adams' football management team' next season.

Holt, who made 182 appearances for the Canaries, returns to Carrow Road after a year managing Falkirk and he will work alongside Robson who stepped up from coaching their Under-21s on a temporary basis during the final weeks of the season.

Adams told the club's official website: "Mark and Gary are two people I've worked with closely and both will bring enthusiasm, hunger and experience to the coaching team. They have also played at the highest levels in this country.

"Joe is someone who I have played for at both Championship and Premier League level, and he has amassed a vast amount of knowledge during his time in the game.

"He has been there, seen it and done it so to speak, and has also been very successful during his time as both a player and a manager."

Norwich also revealed that they are currently interviewing for the position of director of recruitment and will announce the identity of the new technical director 'shortly.'
