Scunthorpe United goalkeeper James Severn has signed a one-year contract extension.
The 22-year-old has only made one substitute appearance for the Iron since joining in May 2012 and watched from the sidelines as his team-mates won promotion from Sky Bet League 2 last season.
Severn insisted he is not simply content playing second fiddle to Sam Slocombe and will do all he can to become Scunthorpe's number one.
"I'm really excited to have signed for another season with Scunthorpe," Severn told the club's official website.
"I've been pushing Sam for two years now and last year he did really well but I'll keep working hard.
"Sam had to be patient so I've got to be patient as well and my chance will come."
