Burton Albion manager Gary Rowett is delighted with his side's preparations for the upcoming season.
The Brewers have already recruited three players, with Shane Cansdell-Sherriff, George Taft and John Mousinho all moving to the Pirelli Stadium. The Sky Bet League Two club have also agreed a fee with Stevenage for Lucas Akins and are currently trying to sort personal terms with the forward.
Rowett told the club's official website that although there is still much to be done, Burton's early progress is encouraging:
He said: "We're really pleased so far. We've had a list of player we've wanted to bring in and we've spoken about how we can push things forward next season.
"The players that we've brought in are good players and a mix of experience and potential. Shane was an obvious one to bring in and it was a no-brainer if we could do a deal. He was happy to come which tells you how much he's enjoyed it here."
