Derby County defender Jake Buxton has become the latest player to commit his future to the club.
The 29-year-old centre-back has signed a new three-year deal to keep him at the iPro Stadium until the summer of 2017.
Head coach Steve McClaren told the club's official website: "It's great news that Jake has signed a new contract.
"He has improved his game and his performances last season were excellent. His leadership both on and off the field in the dressing room and around the place has been spot on.
"We're very pleased that he is sticking around and you know what you are going to get day in day out from him."
Buxton, who joined Derby in 2009, follows in the footsteps of midfielder Jeff Hendrick and left-back Craig Forsyth, who agreed new long-term deals with the Rams last week.
