Brentford make second summer signing

25 June 2014

Sky Bet Championship new boys Brentford have signed midfielder Marcos Tebar Ramiro on a two-year contract.

The former Real Madrid man joins the Bees from Primera Division side Almeria, where he made 29 appearances in all competitions last term.

Mark Warburton's side have the option to extend the 28-year-old's deal by a further year.

"We have tracked Marcos for the last 18 months and we hoped to sign him last summer," Warburton told the club's official website.

"He comes to us having played the majority of games for Almeria in La Liga - the Spanish top flight - last season.

"He has been playing against the best teams in Europe and has shown his quality.

"We are delighted that Marcos has decided to join us.

"Marcos is a very talented midfield player, excellent tactically and technically.

"I am sure he will be a very valuable addition to the squad."

He follows Alan Judge to Griffin Park as the Bees prepare for life in the Sky Bet Championship.
