York City have made their eighth summer signing with the capture of former Mansfield winger Lindon Meikle.
Meikle, 26, who has spent the last three seasons at Mansfield, has signed a two-year deal at Bootham Crescent.
"Lindon is a player who's got terrific pace, is very direct and he's got something that (assistant) Steve (Torpey) and myself were looking at over the summer that we thought would be a nice addition to the group," York boss Nigel Worthington told the club's official website.
"To have the pace of Anthony Straker and now to have the pace of Lindon is a plus. When a young player like Lindon became available we moved very quickly to secure his services."
Meikle, who started out at Eastwood Town, added: "I'm absolutely buzzing about joining the club.
"When I got the phone call (on Monday) morning I was hoping to come and have a conversation with Nigel but, next minute, a contract was coming out and he offered me a deal and it was like 'Wow'!
"I rang my dad and he was absolutely buzzing and told me 'What are you playing at? Go and sign it now!'"
