AFC Wimbledon have been busy recruiting for 2014/15 and one of their stand-out signings is the season-long loan of Bournemouth striker Matt Tubbs.
The Cherries front man had a slow start to last term on loan with Rotherham United, before a move to former club Crawley Town rejuvenated his form.
In 18 games with the Red Devils, Tubbs found the net eight times, including in five successive games. With regular football looking likely this season in Sky Bet League 2, don't be surprised to see Tubbs' name at the top of the goalscoring charts.
On the signing, Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley told afcwimbledon.co.uk: "I'm chuffed because this is a signing I've worked on for two months. I've had to show a lot of patience and it's been tough, but for a club like us this is a major signing."
Tubbs will be joined up front at The Cherry Red Records Stadium by burly striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, who is another new recruit for the Wombles.
The 32-year-old found the net 10 times in 37 outings during 2013/14 for Gillingham and has scored plenty of goals in Sky Bet League 2 over two spells with Northampton Town.
Akinfenwa struck up a good partnership with Cody McDonald at the Gills and, on paper, the Akinfenwa-Tubbs double act looks a potent one. Look out Sky Bet League 2 defences.
