Jamie Jones has been a solid foundation for Leyton Orient during the past six years but he has called an end to his time in East London by signing for Preston North End.
The goalkeeper signed a two-year deal at Deepdale during the first week of June, swapping one Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off loser for another. Orient were beaten in the Final by Rotherham United, who knocked out Preston in the Semi-Finals.
Everton Academy product Jones was Orient boss Russell Slade's number one stopper for a few seasons, amassing 179 appearances, with three years spent fighting relegation before three years battling towards the top of the table.
However, he missed three months during 2013/14, coinciding with a downturn in the O's form. Absent from 22nd December to 29th Match, Jones' former employers dropped from top of the table to third and with a slim chance of automatic promotion in that time.
Jones signed on a free deal after rejecting the opportunity to discuss a new contract at the Matchroom Stadium. He's likely to be the Lilywhites' number one next season, after last year's first-choice 'keeper Declan Rudd returned to parent club Norwich City,
Simon Grayson has also bagged Andy Little, Kyel Reid, Calum Woods and Jordan Hugill during the summer break.
