Mansfield Town have turned down bids for highly-rated duo Ryan Tafazolli and Sam Clucas.
The Sky Bet League Two outfit have rejected an offer from Dundee United for defender Tafazolli, while an unnamed League One side has made an unsuccessful bid for midfielder Clucas.
Stags manager Paul Cox told the club's official website: "Both offers have been turned down 'flat'. I don't want to lose my best players and I'm not in the business of simply giving away players.
"It's a positive in the sense that we've brought through two young players who are being coveted by clubs in higher leagues, but we won't roll over and let our players go, for what we feel, is little compensation."
Clucas, 23, joined the Stags from non-league Hereford last summer and went on to score 13 goals in 43 appearances in the 2013/14 campaign, while former Southampton youngster Tafazolli, 22, has played 29 games since moving to the One Call Stadium in 2012.
