Robbo reveals Alli interest

6 January 2014

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is aware of the interest in Dele Alli, with Liverpool among those monitoring the teenage winger's progress.

Alli made his Football League debut in November 2012 at the age of 16 and has become a first-team regular for the League One club this season.

It has not taken long for the 17-year-old to attract Premier League suitors, and talk of a January move is gathering pace.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was at the DW Stadium on Saturday to watch the Dons' thrilling 3-3 draw with holders Wigan in the FA Cup third round, with Alli thought to be the reason for his attendance.

Robinson told the Daily Mirror: "I know Brendan quite well and we speak about different players all the time.

"There may have been another reason why he was at the game, but you've seen Dele and he's special.

"Yes, he did some silly things but he's 17 years of age. He did bits of magic too.

"You don't see many 17-year-olds playing in an FA Cup third round tie against a very good Wigan side and not looking out of place.

"I'm very proud of his development."
