Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has ruled out a move for "amazing" Jordan Rhodes after claiming Blackburn Rovers have slapped a £9million price-tag on the Scotland international.
The Rovers striker has scored 44 times for the club since joining for £8million prior to last season and has a big admirer in Redknapp, who is desperate to recruit another striker to ease the burden on Charlie Austin.
However, Rovers have always maintained Rhodes is not for sale and have already allowed fellow forwards DJ Campbell and Ruben Rochina to leave on loan this week.
Redknapp claims Rangers are likely to be priced out of acquiring Rhodes, revealing Gary Bowyer's side want to recoup what they paid Huddersfield for him.
"It's too expensive," he told West London Sport.
"He's a good player but I don't think they'll lower the price.
"They want their money back; they want their £8m or £9m for him. Every week he scores. He's amazing."
