West Ham United poised for £5million Ross McCormack bid (Daily Mail): The Premier League strugglers are set to increase their offer for the Leeds United striker by £1m, having had a £4m bid rejected last week.

Rangers eye-up Doncaster Rovers defender Gabriel Tamas (Daily Record): Scottish League One leaders Rangers are looking to sign the Rovers centre-back in the summer, with the Romanian only recently having signed a six-month deal at the Championship side.

Emile Sinclair in talks with Mansfield Town (The Argus): Crawley Town striker Sinclair has been in talks with the Stags, of Sky Bet League 2, over the past few days, Crawley boss John Gregory has revealed.

Eddie Howe remains silent over Bournemouth links with Adam Smith (Bournemouth Echo): Howe is remaining tight-lipped over speculation that the 22-year-old Tottenham Hotspur defender is set to join the Cherries.

Peterborough United agree a fee for Newport County's Conor Washington (Peterborough Telegraph): Washington is set to join the Posh, with whom he had a trail 18 months ago, with a medical planned for Monday, in a deal that could reach £500,000 as Shaun Jeffers moves the other way.

Dany N'Guessan likely to leave Swindon Town (Swindon Advertiser): The Robins attacker could go out on loan this week, after manager Mark Cooper confirmed N'Guessan has been made available for transfer.

Steve Cotterill desires central midfielder for Bristol City (Bristol Post): A central midfield player is the key for Cotterill as he looks to bolster his team, who are struggling in the Sky Bet League 1 relegation zone.

Cheltenham Town boss Mark Yates happy to play loan game (Gloucestershire Echo): Robins boss Yates is chasing two new signings, but may not act until the loan window opens in February.

Millwall agree a deal for Milton Keynes Dons' Shaun Williams (BBC Sport): Championship club Millwall are set to sign the 27-year-old defender for an undisclosed fee.
