Conor Washington has completed his switch from Newport County to Peterborough United on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with fellow striker Shaun Jeffers heading in the opposite direction.
Washington scored more than 60 goals in as many appearances for non-league St Ives before moving to Newport in October 2012. He was less prolific at Rodney Parade, finding the net just eight times in 48 games.
The 21-year-old is set to make his Posh debut in Wednesday night's Sky Bet League One clash at Sheffield United.
Manager Darren Ferguson told the club's official website: "Conor is a player that has good pace, he can play on the shoulder and I think we needed that variation.
"He was desperate to come to us, he wanted to sign and I am pleased to have him on board.
"He will go straight into the squad for Wednesday's game. He has played a lot of games this season so he doesn't need time to get up to speed."
Jeffers, also 21, joins County after scoring three goals in 13 appearances for Peterborough since signing on a short-term contract in October.
