Carlisle United have signed former Liverpool goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis on a short-term deal until the end of April.
The 23-year-old Australian will go straight into Graham Kavanagh's squad for Tuesday night's home league game against MK Dons, subject to Football League clearance.
Bouzanis, who had a spell with Greek side Aris FC earlier this season, has been on trial with the Cumbrians for the past 10 days. He will stay at Brunton Park until April 23.
Former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez handed Bouzanis a three-year deal at Anfield in 2007, but he failed to make a first-team appearance and went out on loan to Accrington before joining Oldham on non-contract terms in November 2011.
Carlisle boss Kavanagh has been in the hunt for a new goalkeeper since number one Mark Gillespie sustained a knee injury in November which required surgery.
