Newport County pair Mike Flynn and David Pipe will leave Rodney Parade at the end of the season, boss Justin Edinburgh has confirmed.
Both players, first-team regulars since the club returned to the Football League, were five games away from triggering automatic contract extensions but after discussions with boss Edinburgh they have agreed to withdraw the clauses from their arrangements with the Exiles and will depart this summer.
"David and Flynny are available for selection, both have agreed to take that clause out of their deals and both of them could play at the weekend, they are still very much involved," Edinburgh told the South Wales Argus.
"But they know they aren't going to be getting deals after the end of this season.
"And in the interests of clarity, this is 100% my decision and absolutely nothing to do with any of the directors."
