Kick It Out will be hosting its annual Raise Your Game conference on Wednesday 16th April 2014 at Wembley Stadium.
The event, which forms part of the campaign's Mentoring and Leadership Project, is running for the fourth consecutive year and promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
With support coming from all levels of the game, the purpose of the conference is to give people across the country the opportunity to discuss potential pathways into football with leading representatives working at professional clubs, governing bodies and associations.
The Raise Your Game conference 2014 will be taking place in the impressive two-tiered Bobby Moore Suite, with experts in a wide variety of areas including management and coaching, media and communications, football administration and community and grassroots coming to provide advice and talk about their respective journeys into the game.
Last year's conference saw all 200 available slots fully booked a month in advance, with keynote speeches, one:one mentoring sessions, exhibitions and networking opportunities on offer with leading names such as former Professional Footballers' Association chair Clarke Carlisle, ex-Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba, Norwich City man Bradley Johnson and Arsenal and England Ladies winger Rachel Yankey.
Since launching in 2010, the campaign's Mentoring and Leadership Project has helped a number of individuals attain full-time employment in football with Alex Eckhout, the Premier League's press and information executive since, and Ravinder Bhandal, football development administrator at Birmingham County FA, both obtaining their positions with Kick It Out's support.
Following last year's conference, Anthony Hassan now has a role working on Sports Interactive's Football Manager series and Kam Uppal is managing West Bromwich Albion Academy Colts Under-12s. These are just a few of the success stories which have emanated from the Project.
