Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month nominations

2 December 2014

The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month award for November.

Nathan Doyle (Luton Town)

The deep-lying central midfielder took the pressure off others with a series of authoritative displays. Doyle provided the perfect shield for Luton’s back four with his ability to read play, break up opposing attacks and set team-mates free.

Tom Nichols (Exeter City)

The front man netted five goals in four games as he forced his way into the starting XI and formed a partnership with Graham Cummins. Nichols’ calm looping header for the 91st–minute winner against Shrewsbury Town and his mazy run and shot at Accrington Stanley were the pick of the bunch.

Aaron O’Connor (Newport County)

Free of the injuries which limited him to four games last season, O’Connor produced the individual performance of the month with a stunning hat-trick in the 3-1 win at high-flying Bury.

David Worrall (Southend United)

Three goals and two assists from the wide man propelled his side to a perfect month. The pick of Worrall’s strikes was an individual run and low finish for the winner against Hartlepool United.

The winners will be announced on Friday.
