Chesterfield supporter Lesley Brentnall has been named the Sky Bet League 1 Fan of the Month for November.
Lesley hasn’t missed a Chesterfield game, home or away, for 17 years. The last game she missed was back in 1997, when her mum grounded her for a home fixture against Bristol City.Lesley said: “I have lived in Chesterfield all my life and both my mum and dad are Chesterfield fans.
“I am a firm believer in supporting your local club. There is something special about watching your home-town club through the good and the bad times.
“The highlight of my time as a Chesterfield fan was the promotion in 2001. A Hull draw gave us promotion 15 minutes after Brighton had won the league at our ground.
“What a party we had on the South Coast!”
Chesterfield chief executive Chris Turner said: "The award is deserved recognition of Lesley's loyal support. To not miss a game in 17 years is a tremendous record.
“Lesley's help with the True Blue Travel service is also appreciated by the staff who run it as she ensures that everyone boards the coaches for away matches."
