Ten fans are in with the chance of winning a £250,000 prize for their Football League club to spend in the January transfer window when the Sky Bet Transfer Fund draw takes place tomorrow. The supporters and representatives from their clubs will find out if they are victorious when the prize draw is made in front of the Sky cameras at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
The 10 fans and their clubs are:
J Spurr (Huddersfield Town)
Tony Richards (Fulham)
Christopher Goodwin (Cardiff City)
Brenda Wall (Leeds United)
Jason Woods (Southend United)
Jay Dave (Watford)
Shaun Lander (Nottingham Forest)
Jason Worth (Exeter City)
Matthew Peat (Wigan Athletic)
Tom Howe (Leeds United)
These 10 fans were selected at random from around 70,000 Sky Bet customers who took part in the Sky Bet Transfer Fund competition this season.
The draw will be hosted by Sky Sports News HQ presenters Jim White and Natalie Sawyer. Jim said: “It is going to be really exciting to see one fan win £250,000 for his or her Football League club.
“You can only imagine how the chairman, manager and players of the winning club are going to react when they hear the news. And the lucky winning fan collects £5,000, so we are going to have a room full of extremely happy people.”
Two of the clubs with a chance of walking away with the big prize, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, are subject to a transfer embargo under Football League regulations for the remainder of the current season from January 1.
In the event of Leeds or Forest winning the draw either club can still use the prize money to pay the wages of players coming in on a free transfer or on loan.
