Peterborough United have signed Middlesbrough defender Christian Burgess on loan.
The 22-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan with Sky Bet League 2 side Hartlepool United, where he partnered current Posh defender Jack Baldwin at centre-back.
The deal was confirmed on Twitter by Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony.
He tweeted: " Delighted to announce signing of young Christian Burgess from Boro Another young exciting CB to compliment our squad."
Burgess goes straight into Peterborough's squad for Tuesday night's clash with Sheffield United.
