Leyton Orient striker Kevin Lisbie is to see a specialist to discover the extent of his shoulder injury.
The 35-year-old may require surgery after his shoulder popped out during the goalless draw at Bristol City last Tuesday.
Manager Russell Slade said: "Lis is the big issue at the moment.
"He may have to have an exploratory operation on that shoulder which is a little bit disappointing. He's going to speak to a specialist and then they will have a game plan."
Slade could welcome another forward, Shaun Batt, back into his squad for Wednesday's Capital One Cup trip to Aston Villa.
Batt has been sidelined since suffering a calf injury in the first round against Plymouth a fortnight ago.
