Jack Robinson signs Queens Park Rangers deal

28 August 2014

Queens Park Rangers have signed full-back Jack Robinson from Liverpool and immediately loaned him out to Huddersfield Town.

The 20-year-old England Under-21 international has penned a four-year deal with Rangers, but will spend the first of them with Sky Bet Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The Football League is familiar territory for Robinson, who has spent time with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Blackpool over recent years.

Robinson has made 11 appearances for Liverpool but, with manager Brendan Rodgers having numerous full-back options, he has decided to move on.

"Jack is one for the future. He's a good young player," Redknapp said.

"He'll continue his development at Huddersfield this season in the Championship, where I'm sure he'll do well."

Robinson added: "It was an easy decision for me to come here for a new challenge.

"Hopefully I can do well here and establish myself as a Premier League player in the future."

"The loan spell at Huddersfield will no doubt serve me well for my future at QPR - I definitely need another season of games under my belt."
