Sky Bet Football League Team of the Week 07/04/14 - 13/04/14

14 April 2014

After the conclusion of the week's Sky Bet Football League matches, we've picked out a squad of the best performers from the divisions to make the Team of the Week.

Here's our 4-3-3 best XI and a manager from the week's Sky Bet Football League matches:

Goalkeeper: Dimi Konstantopoulos (Middlesbrough)

The 35-year-old Greek stopper pulled off a string of fine saves for Boro as they came away from high-flying Burnley with three points, courtesy of a 1-0 win.

Match highlights coming soon.

Defender: Kgosi Ntlhe (Peterborough United)

Peterborough's young defender was in fine form on Saturday against Coventry, helping Posh keep a second successive clean sheet, and he scored the only goal of the game with a thumping header.

Defender: Lewis Buxton (Sheffield Wednesday)

Buxton scored twice in two games this week, both of which ended 3-3. The defender was on target midway through the Owls' match at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, and again on the half-hour mark on Saturday against Blackburn Rovers.

Defender: Luke Chambers (Ipswich Town)

The Ipswich Town defender netted a late winner against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday to give his team a boost in their push for the Play-Offs in the Sky Bet Championship.

Defender: Jordan Moore-Taylor (Exeter City)

Saturday's 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town might not have been the perfect result for Grecians defender Moore-Taylor but, in the match, he netted his first senior goal.

Midfielder: Luke Murphy (Leeds United)

Former Crewe Alexandra midfielder Murphy was on target twice for Leeds on Saturday in their morale-boosting 2-0 victory against Blackpool.

Midfielder: Jamal Campbell-Ryce (Notts County)

The Meadow Lane crowd looked set for a dark day when Port Vale went 2-0 in front but the Magpies turned it around to win 4-2, and that was largely thanks to Jamal Campbell-Ryce. The 31-year-old was involved in all four of his team's goals, scoring two and setting up Jimmy Spencer for the other two.

Midfielder: Jed Wallace (Portsmouth)

A 4-1 success at Dagenham and Redbridge was another step in the right direction for Pompey and Jed Wallace performed well throughout before rounding off the scoring in the 87th minute.

Striker: Leonardo Ulloa (Brighton and Hove Albion)

Ulloa bagged three goals in two games for Brighton this week as they moved into the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off places. He scored twice at the King Power Stadium in midweek, helping the Seagulls to a 4-1 victory, before scoring the second of their three against Charlton Athletic at the weekend.

Striker: Craig Davies (Preston North End)

Preston North End hit Carlisle United for six on Saturday and Craig Davies hit a second-half hat-trick at Deepdale to write his name into the Team of the Week.

Striker: Shaquile Coulthirst (Torquay United)

The Tottenham Hotspur loanee inspired Torquay United to a 2-1 victory at Bristol Rovers on Saturday, scoring the opener before teeing up Lee Mansell for the second.

Manager: Kenny Jackett (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Jackett's Wolves sealed an immediate return to the Sky Bet Championship at the weekend by recording a 2-0 victory at Crewe Alexandra. The former Millwall man has steadied the ship at Molineux this season and they will now turn their attentions to securing the League 1 title.
