Millwall midfielder Ed Upson has been ruled out for the rest of the season but Richard Chaplow is closing in on a return to action.
Upson, a transfer-window signing from Yeovil in January, recently damaged his ankle and is not expected to feature during the run-in.
"Unfortunately Ed has suffered an ankle injury that will sideline him for the next few weeks, effectively ruling him out for the season," physio Bobby Bacic told the club's official website.
But the pending return of fellow midfielder Chaplow, sidelined for the last seven matches due to an Achilles injury, will soften the blow of losing Upson.
Bacic added: "The treatment room can be like a revolving door at times and while Ed has come in joining Danny Shittu, we are happy to report that Richard Chaplow is rejoining training after his Achilles problem."
