Mansfield Town defender Lee Beevers is set to undergo a shoulder operation that will rule him out for the remainder of the season.
Beevers suffered a dislocated shoulder against Morecambe last weekend and the 30-year-old full-back will have surgery to correct the problem on Friday.
"He's took some battering over the last 18 months but we've got him in [for an operation] on Friday, so that his rehab can be speeded up a little bit," Mansfield manager Paul Cox told the club's official website.
"He'll be a big miss for us, because when he got back in the side I thought he was excellent and playing exceptionally well.
"We hope the operation goes well and we wish him a speedy recovery."
Beevers has been a regular figure in the Mansfield team this season, having made 28 appearances.
