Rochdale midfielder Jamie Allen has been named the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month for March.
The mobile Allen gave Rochdale the thrust they needed to move top of Sky Bet League 2.
Passing, moving and running with the ball, his two goals included a sumptuously struck volley from the edge of the box in the 2-0 win at Wycombe Wanderers.
Rochdale manager Keith Hill said: "Jamie thoroughly deserves the award.
"He has been excellent for us, not only this month, but throughout the season, and I'm absolutely delighted for him.
"Jamie works hard in training, he works hard on the pitch and he's got a natural ability. We're very fortunate to have that type of talent at our football club.
"March was a hard month with regards to the number of games played, but he took it in his stride and he excelled in all eight games. The award is testament to that."
Sky Sports' Football League pundit Don Goodman said: "After breaking into the first team in October Jamie has gone from strength-to-strength and played a vital part in helping the team to the top of the Sky Bet League 2 table.
"Two goals from midfield for Jamie - who has been at Rochdale since he was nine - were of great value for Dale as they closed in on automatic promotion."
Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins said: "Allen has put in some excellent performances this month.
"Rochdale's form has remained solid as they look to grab the Sky Bet League 2 title. Allen's performances will help in securing their goal."
