Charlie Austin boost for Queens Park Rangers

8 April 2014

Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin came through his return to action unscathed and he now hopes to play a key role in their Play-Off hunt.

Austin, sidelined for 11 weeks with a shoulder injury, returned to action as Rangers lost 2-1 to his old club Bournemouth on Saturday and he now hopes to build his sharpness in the coming weeks.

"There were no problems with the shoulder," he told the club's official website. "And it was nice to get out there and be involved.

"You can do as much as you like at the training ground, but nothing beats match time for getting you back up to speed with things.

"If we are in the play-offs then we've got to make sure we hit a bit of form and get everyone fit and raring to go for those games. That's what we are looking at."
