Blackburn have signed Cardiff striker Rudy Gestede on loan until the new year.
The Benin international heads to Ewood Park in search of regular football, having made just five appearances for the Bluebirds this campaign.
Rovers have the option to turn Gestede's loan move into a permanent transfer in January.
He told the club's official website: "I'm very happy to join Blackburn. It's a massive club, with great history.
"When I was younger, I used to pick Blackburn when I played video games. Of course we played against them last season so I know it's a good club with a good atmosphere. The fans are amazing, like they are at Cardiff, and maybe that's why I chose this club.
"We got promoted with Cardiff last season and I think the manager wants me to bring this experience and have a good spirit in the team. I'm here to work hard and do my best. He is giving me the chance to play and to be on the pitch every week, so I hope I can take it.
"You need to have a good atmosphere in the team, with everybody focused in the same way. You have to work hard, because the Championship is a hard league.
"There are a lot of games and it's not easy to win, even against the bottom teams in the league, so you need to be really focused on each game and work hard permanently."
