Vale handed triple contract boost

29 May 2013

Port Vale manager Micky Adams has been boosted by the news that three of his players have agreed fresh deals ahead of the new season in npower League One.

Adam Yates, Louis Dodds and Ben Williamson are all set to stay at Vale Park and will sign on the dotted line when they return from holiday.

Defender Yates, midfielder Dodds and striker Williamson were all part of the Vale side which achieved automation promotion from League Two last term.

Adams, who also saw defender Danny Jones re-sign last week, was delighted after retaining the trio.

He told the club's official website: "It's great that all three have agreed to sign and reaffirm their commitment to the club.

"We are continuing to speak to a number of players about contracts and hope to have more positive news sooner rather than later."
