Rochdale have signed Luton defender Wayne Thomas on loan until the end of the season.
Thomas joined the Hatters in January following 18 months in Greek football with FC Atromitos Athens and Veria FC.
The 33-year-old, who is comfortable at both right-back and centre-half, was sent off on his second appearance for the Blue Square Bet Premier outfit against Braintree at the end of February and has not featured since.
Dale's move for the former Torquay, Stoke, Burnley and Southampton man is subject to clearance from the Football League and the FA.
Spotland boss Keith Hill was looking to bolster his defensive options after learning Rhys Bennett would miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury earlier this week.
