9 January 2013

Blackburn have completed the signing of Chelsea's England Under-19 defender Todd Kane on a one-month youth loan deal.

The 19-year-old is yet to play for his parent club but recently returned from a stint with Preston, where he played three times in npower League One and made two FA Cup appearances.

As such, Kane is available to make his Blackburn debut at Wolves on Friday night but cannot feature in the FA Cup fourth-round trip to Derby.

Meanwhile, Rovers' Championship home game against Brighton has been rescheduled as a 7:45pm kick-off on Tuesday, January 22.

The game was due to take place on Saturday, December 22 but heavy rainfall in the east Lancashire area forced left the Ewood Park pitch waterlogged.
