This week's televised festive football on Sky Sports begins at 5:15pm on Boxing Day, when Blackpool host Leeds United in the Sky Bet Championship.
Paul Ince and Brian McDermott have seen their sides move in different directions in the table over recent weeks. Ince's Tangerines have lost their past four, and find themselves in 10th place, whilst McDermott's Whites are fifth following two wins and two draws.
Despite that differing form, just three points separates the sides, although Blackpool will need to win by a six-goal margin to overtake the visitors.
That match is quickly followed by another Sky Bet Championship clash, this time from the East Midlands, where Nottingham Forest host Queens Park Rangers.
Rangers have never overcome Forest at the City Ground in 29 visits. In that time, the Reds have won 17 matches, scoring 58 goals and conceding just 18, registering 16 clean sheets.
Heading into this fixture, Billy Davies' men are unbeaten in four matches and sit seventh. Harry Redknapp's West London side lost last time out against Leicester, to drop to second spot.
The next live fixture on Sky Sports comes on New Year's Day, with Watford travelling to Huish Park to meet Yeovil Town in front of the cameras.
The two met for the first time ever in late November and the Glovers pulled off a shock by triumphing 3-0 at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets will certainly be out to make amends for that result and aim to kick-start a resurgence going into 2014, after a rocky end to 2013.
