Colchester United chairman Robbie Cowling's fundraising efforts for Teenage Cancer Trust reach a crescendo this week with a cycle ride the length of the country.
Having cycled to Preston North End on the opening day of the season, Robbie and a support team of cyclists will make the 320-mile trip to Carlisle United this weekend for the U's crucial final day fixture at Brunton Park.
During the course of the season, Robbie has also run from his home to the stadium for each home fixture, totalling nearly 350 miles to add to his two gargantuan cycling efforts.
Robbie's efforts are in memory of U's supporter Emily Begg, who passed away aged just 14 having suffered from leukaemia.
And the Colchester chairman will be joined by Emily's father Stuart for the trek to Carlisle this week.
He said: "I'm delighted that Stuart is able to join us for the long ride to Carlisle. He and his family are the reason that Colchester United began their association with Teenage Cancer Trust, following Emily's sad death, and it is very fitting that he can help us with our ride to Brunton Park.
"I completed my runs to home games ahead of the match against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, before leaving to go to Carlisle on Tuesday. I hope that our efforts raise plenty of funds for this very worthy cause."
