Carlisle have released seven first-team players, including long-serving defender Peter Murphy.
The 32-year-old, whose goal in the 2005 Conference play-off final saw the Cumbrians return to the Football League, has not been offered a new contract and will end his 12-year stay at Brunton Park.
Adam Collin, Rory Loy, Mathieu Manset, Jon-Paul McGovern, Frank Simek and Andy Welsh will also leave the club.
Winger Matty Robson has been offered a two-year contract, while skipper Paul Thirlwell, Lee Miller and Josh Todd have been offered one-year deals.
Meanwhile defender Danny Livesey has triggered a one-year contract extension.
