Easter weekend in numbers

2 April 2013

1 - By winning 2-1 against Cardiff City on Saturday, Peterborough United became the first team to do the double over the Championship leaders this season. In the reverse fixture, in December, Posh beat the Bluebirds by the same scoreline at the Cardiff City Stadium.

4 - Leeds United have now had a player sent off in their last four trips to Portman Road - Tom Lees was the man to see red on Saturday.

5 - Keith Keane's 77th-minute strike in Preston North End's 1-1 draw with Portsmouth on Friday was the 26-year-old's first Football League goal in five years.

8 - Hartlepool United's poor form in front of goal continued as they failed to score against both Milton Keynes Dons and Stevenage. The League 1 strugglers haven't scored since February, eight games ago.

9 - Burton Albion's nine-match winning run at the Pirelli Stadium came to an end on Saturday as Chesterfield left with three points, courtesy of a 1-0 triumph.

10 - It was better news for fellow League 2 promotion chasers Northampton Town, though. The Cobblers extended their undefeated run at Sixfields to 10 games with Friday's 1-0 win against Torquay United.

11 - Tom Pope ended his baron run in front of goal in style on Friday by bagging a hat-trick for Port Vale in their 3-2 victory against Cheltenham Town. The 27-year-old then added another in Vale's second game of the weekend, against Chesterfield. Prior to those matches, Pope hadn't scored since January, 11 games ago.

12 - Walsall are now undefeated in 12, following a goalless draw against Yeovil Town, and a 4-0 win over near-neighbours Coventry City on Monday.

17 - League 2 York City registered their first three-point haul in 17 games with Monday's 2-0 success against fellow strugglers Plymouth Argyle.

26 - Peter Whittingham's goal in Cardiff City's 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers was the midfielder's first in 26 league games.

50 - Northampton Town became the first Football League team to gain 50 points from home matches this term by beating Torquay United 1-0.

73 - Blackburn Rovers have developed a habit of leaving it late to score in recent weeks - the Championship outfit haven't hit the back of the net before the 73rd minute in any of their last eight league matches.

1987 - Tom Pope became the first Port Vale player to bag 30 goals in a season in all competitions since 1987.

29,697 - The largest attendance in The Football League over the Easter weekend came at Hillsborough for Sheffield Wednesday's match with Barnsley on Saturday.
