Freedman warns off Zaha suitors

17 September 2012

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman insists it would take a big offer to prise Wilfried Zaha away from Selhurst Park.

Teenage winger Zaha was a target for a host of Premier League clubs last season and put in another impressive performance on his 100th appearance for the Eagles in Friday night's 1-0 win at south London rivals Charlton.

"Wilfried's got a five-year contract and as far as I can see he's going nowhere right now," said Freedman.

"If the right club approaches myself then I'll talk to the chairman.

"If enough money is put in front of the chairman then he'll decide, it's as simple as that.

"Wilfried's got a long way to go. He's a young player learning his trade and I think there's no better place right now than Crystal Palace to learn it."
