Forde gets nod from Republic

10 September 2012

Millwall goalkeeper David Forde will earn his third international cap when the Republic of Ireland take on Oman in a friendly on Tuesday.

Manager Giovanni Trapattoni has confirmed the keeper, 32, will play at Craven Cottage after allowing Sunderland's Keiren Westwood to go back to his club early.

Trapattoni has called up West Ham's Stephen Henderson to replace Westwood but he is set to start on the bench.

Forde has yet to make an appearance for Millwall this season with veteran former Fulham keeper Maik Taylor the current first choice at The Den.
