Rochdale manager John Coleman says his summer-long pursuit of Bobby Grant is paying off.
Coleman gave Grant his first taste of senior football when the two were at Accrington Stanley.
And he has watched the 22-year-old forward score in each of his last four matches for Dale, including Saturday's 2-1 win at League 2 leaders Gillingham, since signing him from Scunthorpe on deadline day.
"I've tracked Bobby for ages," said Coleman. "He'll score goals at this level, there's no doubt in my mind.
"He's a special talent and he showed on Saturday that he's prepared to put a hard shift in as well."
The 22-year-old, has hit five goals in six league games for Rochdale and is proving a perfect foil for veteran target man Dele Adebola.
